Pa (Julie’s Dad) has been visiting again! This is his third trip to Manado since we arrived in late 2011. As always, his presence brings so much delight to Harrison, his grandson. Pa (Doug) has been diving since before Julie was born so the minute he found out we were off to Manado for work, he was booking his flights before we’d even arrived – slight exaggeration but not by much. For those of you who don’t know, Manado is renowned for its superb scuba-diving.
This weekend we did another Island hop. Harrison made a new friend from France (Juliano) and they remained buddies from start to finish. H also found a new hobby, collecting Hermit Crabs in his makeshift home (a plastic container). We allowed him 1 hour of ‘pet time’ which meant, he had to release them after approximately 1 hour and find new prisoners *cough* pets.
It might be time to point out that our time in Manado is soon coming to an end, so we will be wrapping up our blog with a few more posts on our overall experience, including a few highlights and recognitions of those who made life so much easier and enjoyable during our adventure.
Thank you Pa for your visit — happy memories.

Thanks for the share. Lovely read. Keep posting.
Thank you for your comment! Love your website Tropicshells, my son is very keen to have Hermit Crabs as pets when we get back to Australia.
